Committee for SC/ST
The Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) Committee of AIIRLIVAS is constituted to ensure equal
opportunities, social justice, and the overall welfare of students and staff belonging to the
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. The committee functions in accordance with
the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and other statutory bodies, with a
focus on promoting inclusion, equity, and non-discrimination within the institution.
AIIRLIVAS is committed to creating a supportive and inclusive academic environment where students
from SC/ST communities are empowered to pursue education with dignity, confidence, and equal access
to institutional resources.
Objectives
- To safeguard the rights and interests of SC/ST students and staff.
- To ensure effective implementation of reservation policies and government guidelines.
- To promote social justice, equality, and inclusive education.
- To prevent discrimination or harassment based on caste or social background.
- To provide a platform for addressing grievances related to academic, administrative, or social issues.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Monitoring the welfare of SC/ST students and staff in the institution.
- Addressing grievances and complaints related to discrimination or unfair treatment.
- Providing guidance and support for scholarships, financial assistance, and government schemes.
- Creating awareness about constitutional provisions, rights, and protective laws.
- Organizing awareness programs, seminars, and activities promoting social harmony.
- Coordinating with institutional authorities for necessary remedial and preventive actions.
- Maintaining records and submitting reports as required by regulatory bodies.
